Post Title: Swimming Instructor
Salary: FTE £23,802 - £26,019 (Salary Scale Point 24-27) pro rata

We are looking for a swimming instructor to help deliver successful swimming lessons in our beautiful pool, across our three form entry primary school. Following the ASA or STA Learn to Swim Framework, you will be responsible for the delivery of lessons to pupils in Year 2 upwards.

You will be required to deliver safe, consistent lessons to groups of children and train our school team for participation in the annual Borough Swimming Gala. Dedicated and energetic, you’ll be an ASA or STA qualified teacher level 2 with National Teaching Plan knowledge, as well as health & safety awareness. Friendly, patient and with the ability to motivate pupils and encourage with praise is key.

You’ll be part of a team of two who operate throughout 39 weeks of the year to ensure continuous learning, development & progression. As a minimum you will need the ASA/STA Level 2 Award in Safety for Teachers and Current Rescue Test or National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.

STA Level 2 Certificate in Aquatic Teaching Special Needs would be an advantage or willingness to undertake training.
