Science Technician

Actual paid salary £17,728 - £19,155

Start date: Autumn Term 2018

An opportunity has arisen to work as a key part of the successful Science team at Wren Academy. We require a Science Technician to play a key role supporting the teaching staff and students at the Academy.

We currently have over 900 Year 7 to 11 students on roll, 260 in our Sixth Form and our growing primary phase will have 240 students in September 2018. The Academy is moving to MAT status. High standards have been set and with the introduction of a new curriculum, we expect that the Science team will develop further.

We seek a reliable, enthusiastic and experienced person with excellent organisational skills. They will have a range of responsibilities, supporting their team, the science teachers and our students. All our student services staff work with students, staff and occasionally parents, so an ability to interact professionally on a number of levels is also important.

The detailed job description, additional information about the Academy and the post and the application form are available to download from our website: www.wrenacademy.org/recruitment

Closing date: 12 noon on 24 September, 2018

Interviews: Week commencing 1 October, 2018

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
