The Barnet Public Health Team seeks to recruit a public health strategist to cover a maternity absence during a very exciting period in the teams development under a new Director of Public Health and with emerging opportunities for collaborative working with colleagues in community safety.


Public Health Strategist – Adults
Salary: K
Hours: 36 hours per week
Contractual Status: Fixed term 1 year

Key responsibilities

The post holder will develop the strategic response to prevention, early identification and support of vulnerable clients across the Council, CCG and partners. They will provide system leadership, developing community response and prevention initiatives to support community safety in the borough. They will have a particular focus on vulnerabilities resulting from substance misuse, crime, violence (including violence against women and girls) and Child Sexual Exploitation.
