Personal Assistant to the Headteacher and Clerk to the Governing Body

Hours: 40 hours per week (8.00am – 5.00pm)
Salary range points: 37-39
£33,996 - £36,012 per annum

We wish to appoint a personal assistant to the Headteacher who will also act as Clerk to the Governing Body.

The successful applicant will be at the heart of an ambitious and successful organisation, supporting the Headteacher and Governors in their work.

An interesting and varied role, core duties will include carrying out research, preparing reports and policy statements and ensuring effective internal and external communications. Working alongside the personal assistant to the senior leadership team, the post holder will be central to the smooth running of the Headteacher’s office.

Excellent organisation and communication skills are vital, as is discretion, sound judgement and self-motivation. Preferably educated to degree level, applicants should have excellent written and spoken English, a keen eye for detail, outstanding it literacy and be confident in interpreting data.

Attendance at work will be mainly limited to term-time meaning the successful candidate will enjoy very generous holiday periods. There will be a requirement for attendance at occasional evening meetings and other events which happen out-of-hours during term-time.
