Occasional Cover Teachers
Required Spring and Summer term 2017
£30 per hour (break and lunch allowance available)

An exciting opportunity to work as part of a talented and highly motivated team in an Academy judged by OFSTED to be outstanding.
Located in the London Borough of Barnet, Wren Academy is sponsored by the Church of England and Berkhamsted School. The Academy has developed a strong reputation for outstanding teaching and learning, as demonstrated by the 2016 Value Added Progress 8 score being the 21st highest in the country. Founded in 2008 the Academy is now full sized with well over 1250 students (including the sixth form). The engaging curriculum, innovative enrichment programme and state of the art buildings have contributed to the Academy’s notable success.

We wish to appoint occasional cover teachers who have the flexibility to cover absent teachers and be responsible for delivering high quality learning to students of all age groups. The level of work available will depend on the amount of teacher absences at any time in the academic year.
The successful candidate will have:

• A teaching qualification and experience of teaching in a secondary school environment
• The ability to ensure that the highest standards of behaviour and learning are maintained when regular class teachers are absent
• Good organisational skills
• Flexibility to cover a range of subjects and teach different students across the key stages

Interviews will take place during the spring and summer term as soon as applications are received.
Final deadline: 1 July 2017
