Social Worker at the Barnet Early Intervention in Psychosis Team:
The Barnet Early Intervention in Psychosis service provides a range of specialist mental health intervention to people with symptoms of early onset psychosis, within the London Borough of Barnet. The main function of the Early Intervention Service is to assess and where appropriate meet the continuing social and mental health needs of people who experience a first episode of psychosis, or who are in the prodromal phase of their illness. This is achieved via the principles of the Care Programme Approach (CPA), where a named care coordinator takes the lead role in the person’s care.
We aim to provide a specialist service, for the early identification, assessment and treatment of young people between the ages of 18 to 65 years who present with a first episode of psychosis. We are currently seeking to recruit a social worker. The post is opened to staff with an experience working with people with mental health problems and who meet the skills set in the attached specification. The post holder responsibilities are those set in the attached role profile.
