Job information

Adults and Communities at Barnet is going through a period of exciting change – an extensive transformation programme including introduction of a new operating model – with a new case management system and reporting software to go along with it. Working within a dynamic and fast developing team, you’ll help develop new, innovative reporting products as well as delivering on the regular performance reporting regime for adult social care, developing new performance frameworks, and carrying out research, analysis and insight projects. This role will provide opportunities for you to learn and develop, including training in the use of specialist reporting software – you’ll be supported to help shape the future of the service.

Key duties include
• To play a key role in meeting the Adults & Communities Delivery Unit’s information, insight and analysis needs, providing expert statistical analysis of data and information relating to Adult Social Care.
• To be a key advisor to the Service Manager for Performance & Information, the Head of Performance & Improvement and the A&C Leadership Team on issues relating to performance and information.
• To proactively identify complex performance issues, analyse complex data from multiple sources to identify the root causes, and recommend potential solutions.
• To support key initiatives and projects within Adults & Communities by providing robust and creative research and analysis to facilitate project scoping, business case development, on-going monitoring and improvement, and evaluation and learning.
• To work with colleagues from across the Council to contribute to the development of similar initiatives and projects outside Adults & Communities
• To be an expert user of Adults & Communities business systems and reporting software, maintaining a high level of technical knowledge.
• To lead on the provision of certain statutory returns and contribute to the provision of others.
• To represent Adults & Communities in relation to performance, information and insight at networks across and outside the Council

in 2019 Adults and Communities will be moving offices from Whetstone to Colindale. This move will put us at the heart of the community which we support and put us in the best position to support the most vulnerable.

If shortlisted you will be required to bring photographic ID to your interview to prove your identity.
