Post Title: Finance & Administration Manager (36 hrs per week, full time)
Salary: Range 42-47 (£37,306 - £41,025)

Required as soon as possible a Finance and Administration Manager. This is a pivotal role ensuring the school manages its resources effectively and efficiently. The successful candidate will be a part qualified or professional accountant, with experience in a school, managing a finance department. The candidate will be organised, professional, and able to easily command respect from, their colleagues.

The key responsibilities are as follows:

• Management of Finance, HR, School Office and Reprographics
• Financial Control of the School’s Income and Expenditure during the Financial Year, and other financial processes that support this process
• Preparation of budgetary information, for presentation to the Board of Governors for their approval and on-going monitoring of the budget to ensure income and expenditure remains in line with expectations
• Assisting the Headteacher with day to day financial and operational issues across the school.

The role is full-time (36 hours equivalent per week), with 6 weeks holiday per year. It is expected that the successful candidate will work the hours of work that are necessary to ensure the effective discharge of all duties and functions associated with the post. QEGS is a high achieving, oversubscribed 11-18 comprehensive school and converter academy. The school is committed to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as such all candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
