EYFS Leader

Required for September 2017
Salary: MPR or UPR depending on experience + TLR2
Outer London scale

Do you have the passion and skills to become a leader in our growing school? In this innovative and new school, we are looking for an Early Years Leader with the passion, enthusiasm and commitment to lead our Reception in this two form entry school.

The primary phase of Wren Academy opened in September 2015 with the first two Reception classes in our brand new building. This year, those children will progress into Year 2. Through the addition of a cohort of children each year, we will grow into a two-form entry primary school, joining our successful and outstanding secondary phase.

Located in the London Borough of Barnet, Wren Academy is sponsored by the Church of England and Berkhamsted School. Wren Academy is a primary school of excellence where every child is both challenged and inspired. We believe every child should be entitled to a rich and varied curriculum which focuses on establishing the highest standard of basic skills while nurturing independent learners and thinkers.

We are now looking to grow our leadership capacity in the school to maintain and develop the exceptional learning that is happening in our Reception classes.

The successful candidates will:

• Have excellent interpersonal skills with pupils, staff and parents.
• Be able to enthuse, inspire and engage children.
• Plan and deliver exciting lessons.
• Be dedicated to raising standards for all children.
• Have experience of working in Reception.

Wren Academy has a clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, therefore the position will be subject to enhanced DBS checks and excellent references.

The detailed job description, additional information about the Academy and the post and the application form are available to download from our website:
www.wrenacademy.org

Completed application forms should be returned to the school.

Closing date for applications: 27th March 2017
